Advocacy in Action | April 2024

Catch up on the Advocacy team's whereabouts this month!

Over the past couple of weeks, the Property Council advocacy team has been talking about all thing’s property: from the Resource Management Act through to how we can fund and finance transport and New Zealand’s future infrastructure.

We’ve met with:

  • Hon. Chris Bishop, Minister for Housing, RMA Reform and Infrastructure.
  • Hon. Simeon Brown, Minister of Transport
  • Simon Court MP, Parliament Under-Secretary to the Minister for Infrastructure and Minister Responsible for RMA Reform.
  • Hon Kieran McAnulty, Labour Party Spokesperson for Housing and Local Government.

We also discuss Property Council New Zealand’s national briefing paper, along with suggested solutions to the challenges that the industry currently faces. Our solutions come from our taskforce members – who volunteer their time to provide feedback and workshop solutions that we can voice to decision-makers.

You can check out our taskforces here.
