Advocacy is a marathon,
not a sprint.
Much of Property Council’s advocacy work is a slow burn.
The ongoing campaign to ensure Auckland Council’s Development Contributions (DCs) Policy remains fair and balanced is one example.
The Property Council has been advocating on behalf of our Auckland members on the issue of DCs since well before the development of the Auckland Unitary Plan – a document that guides the use of Auckland’s natural and physical resources and the biggest planning exercise ever undertaken in New Zealand – was implemented in 2016.
