Colette McCartney joins Wingates as Principal | Interior Architect

With over 25 years of experience as a Registered Architect, she is based in Tauranga Moana and has strong whakapapa connections to Tahuna and Waiti marae in the Waikato. Colette is passionate about creating meaningful co-designed projects that honour Māori culture and values. Colette’s passion for shaping a stronger, more connected industry saw her re-elected to Property Council New Zealand’s Central Regional Committee for 2025. 

Hayson Knell welcomes Holly McVicar to the team

Hayson Knell welcomes Holly as their new Business Operations Lead. Holly is a results-focussed professional with both technical and business aptitude covering the mining & resources and land development sectors.

Holly holds strength in optimising business systems, brand development, project delivery, and business development and is a familiar face around the Bay of Plenty. Outside of work, Holly runs her own food business and loves exploring the stunning region with her young family.

Holly also sits on Property Council New Zealand’s Central Regional Committee that helps to shape advocacy, networking and events in the region.

Appointment of Murray Robertson as Downer Managing Director for New Zealand

Downer Group announced the appointment of Murray Robertson to the newly-created Executive role of Managing Director New Zealand.  

Mr Robertson is a highly respected leader in the New Zealand infrastructure sector, bringing a deep understanding of the local landscape and extensive industry experience. In his 17 years with the company, he has held a number of senior Executive roles, including most recently as Chief Operating Officer of Downer’s Transport & Infrastructure business.

“This new Executive position reflects Downer’s continued commitment to strong local leadership in New Zealand and will ensure our operations remain aligned with national priorities and opportunities,” Downer Group Chief Executive Officer, Peter Tompkins, said.
