Bayleys announced as Programme Partner for DevelopU

Property Council New Zealand is delighted to welcome Bayleys Real Estate as the official Programme Partner of the DevelopU training academy, strengthening the industry’s shared commitment to professional development and future talent.

Launched in 2023, DevelopU was created to bridge the property knowledge gap by delivering practical, industry-led education for professionals across the built environment. From foundational courses such as Introduction to Property and Development Fundamentals through to advanced and leadership programmes, the academy is designed to support professionals at every stage of their career.

DevelopU courses are crafted by industry leaders for industry professionals, combining expert insights, real-world case studies and hands-on learning to deepen understanding of the property ecosystem – from development and valuation to asset management and leadership.

Property Council Chief Executive Leonie Freeman said the partnership with Bayleys reflects a shared vision for growing capability across the sector.  “DevelopU was created to strengthen the skills and knowledge of our industry and ensure the next generation of property professionals are equipped to lead with confidence,” says Freeman.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bayleys as our official Programme Partner. Their support will help us continue to grow the academy and deliver world-class learning experiences that support the people shaping our cities and communities.”

“Bayleys’ own strong commitment to training and professional development within our organisation makes the partnership with DevelopU a particularly natural fit, and really underscores the shared values between our teams”
