The Property Council Committee Internship is designed for those who aspire to board-level roles and have an interest in corporate governance. It allows an Intern to gain valuable experience by having a non-voting seat at the local Regional Committee table for a two-year term.
This is part of the Auckland and South Island regional strategies to broaden the pool of possible Regional Committee members, and benefit from a fresh perspective, whilst the experience will equip the successful applicant with practical tools, processes and insights into the governance of Property Council.
This year we are thrilled to introduce two Committee Interns:
Rosaria Marsh, Oakwood Properties
South Island Regional Committee Intern
Rosaria Marsh is a commercial property manager at Oakwood Properties Limited in Dunedin, where she is the third generation of her family to work in the business. She manages a portfolio of more than 65 commercial properties and 250 tenancies across the South Island, overseeing lease administration, maintenance, compliance, tenant relationships and reporting to the board.
Rosaria joined Oakwood in 2022 as a residential property manager before moving into commercial property management in 2023. She now coordinates a small team and supervises a university intern. She also led Oakwood’s move to new property management and accounting software, creating clearer processes and ensuring important knowledge is recorded and shared.
Rosaria completed a Master of Property Practice through the University of Auckland in 2025 while working full-time. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Diploma for Graduates in Human Resource Management from the University of Otago.
She is a regular at Property Council New Zealand events in Dunedin and took part in Property Council’s DevelopU Emerging Leaders Programme in 2023–2024. She has also served on the Dunedin Young Professionals committee.
Rosaria is particularly interested in energy efficiency, renewable energy, adaptive reuse and strengthening existing buildings. Through the internship, she looks forward to learning how the committee makes decisions and shapes Property Council’s advocacy, while bringing a practical perspective from working directly with tenants and as part of the next generation of a family business.
Jean-Daniel Rosset, TSA Riley
Auckland Regional Committee Intern
J-D Rosset is a Project Manager at TSA Riley, based in Auckland, New Zealand. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechatronics and a Master of Engineering Management & Business Development (Honours) from the University of Auckland.
His professional experience spans engineering consultancy, design, and project management, with involvement in delivering complex infrastructure and property developments across both horizontal and vertical construction. Having previously contributed to a range of infrastructure projects at Auckland Airport, J-D is currently involved in delivering The Point Mission Bay, a significant aged living development in Auckland. He is a member of Engineering New Zealand, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Infrastructure New Zealand.
Alongside his professional career, J-D remains involved in academia as a contracted Teaching Assistant at the University of Auckland, supporting the delivery of the postgraduate Applied AI for Engineers course. His research explores the integration of artificial intelligence into engineering education and industry, with a forthcoming publication and presentation at the 2026 Australasian Association for Engineering Education (AAEE) Conference. His wider interests include emerging technologies, innovation and their applications across the wider engineering sector.
Outside of work, J-D is a competitive sportsman and has represented New Zealand in men’s artistic gymnastics. He is also a musical theatre enthusiast and enjoys the great outdoors, travelling and pursuing new experiences and challenges.
Congratulations to both Rosaria and Jean-Daniel on their appointment – we look forward to working with you!
