Property Council New Zealand announced its National Board and committee appointments at its Annual General Meeting today. All appointments take effect from 1 November 2026 for a two-year term.
Nominations opened to all members on 3 August 2026 and ran for three weeks. Property Council received 68 nominations across the National Board and its national and regional committees.
The Auckland and Wellington Regional Committees received more nominations than there were positions, so key contacts at each member company voted to elect their representatives. Voting closed on 14 September 2026, and Property Council staff verified the results.
Chief Executive Leonie Freeman says the strong response shows how committed members are to the organisation and the wider industry.
“Receiving 68 nominations is a huge turnout, and we’re very grateful to every member who put their hand up to volunteer their time. Our committees are the engine room of Property Council. They help shape our advocacy, events and member engagement, and they play a big part in shaping cities where communities thrive. Congratulations to our new and returning members, and a sincere thank you to those stepping down for their commitment and contribution.”
National Board
Property Council’s Industry Leaders membership elects members to the National Board. This year’s appointments are:
- Simon Woodhams, Chief Executive Officer of Property for Industry, is re-appointed to the Industry Leader – Owner/Developer position.
- Paula Ormandy, Partner at Buddle Findlay, is re-appointed to an Industry Leader – Construction, Property Services and Professionals position.
Property Council also thanks Morgan Jones of Veros Property Services, who steps down from the National Board after more than two years as Regional Chair Representative.
