Commerce Commission Reform Amendment Bill submissions open

Submissions are now open on the Commerce (Commerce Commission Reform) Amendment Bill, a piece of legislation aimed at strengthening how the Commerce Commission operates and makes decisions.

The Bill aims to strengthen the Commerce Commission’s governance, decision-making, and mandate so it can carry out its functions more efficiently and effectively.

These changes will be particularly important as the Commission takes on a regulatory role in the proposed development levies scheme, where robust scrutiny of costs, pricing, and investment decisions will be essential to ensure efficient outcomes and maintain confidence in the system.

Property Council will be preparing a submission on the Bill to represent members’ interests. If you would like to review our draft submission once it is available, please get in touch with Sandamali.
