Election 2026

Where the parties stand on property

We've checked each party's announced policies against Property Council New Zealand's five advocacy priorities, so you can see at a glance who is focused on the issues that matter to our sector.

Last updated 13 October 2026. Note that policies may evolve throughout the campaign and could be subject to further change. Members should refer to each party’s published policies for the full details.

How we assessed the policies

We compared each party's published policies with the asks in our 2026 Central Government Advocacy Agenda. "No stated position yet" means we couldn't find a policy on that ask. It doesn't mean the party opposes it.

Property Council is politically neutral and does not endorse any party. Spotted something we've missed? Email comms@propertynz.co.nz.
