On September 7 2023, Property Council submitted to the Ministry of Transport on the Draft Government Policy Statement on Land Transport 2024/25-2033/34. This sets out the Government’s proposed priorities for land transport investment over the next 10 years.
Why this matters to our members
Property Council advocates for the creation and retention of a well-designed, functional and sustainable built environment. Transport outcomes have a notable effect on property and urban development. We firmly believe that it is important that the voice of the property sector is heard at the decision-making table.
Our view
Property Council supported the proposed transport funding approach for 2024/25-2026/27 and recommended developing long-term alternative funding tools for land transport, including congestion pricing.
