Valuers Registration Board call for nominations

LINZ has opened the call for nominations for a position on the Valuers Registration Board, with nominations closing on 25 August 2022. The appointment is for a term of three years, with the possibility of re-appointment.

About the Valuers Registration Board

The Valuers Registration Board (the Board) is established by the Valuers Act 1948

The functions of the Board are to:

  • oversee the registration of valuers of land (real property)
  • approve academic qualifications, setting the assessment criteria, and running the examination process to test applicant’s competency for registration;
  • maintain a register of valuers and issue practising certificates; and
  • exercise disciplinary powers where a registered valuer is charged with incompetent, improper or unethical conduct.
About the candidate

To be eligible, you must be a registered valuer under the Valuers Act 1948. It is highly desirable that you have previous governance and/or judicial/litigation experience.


Term of appointment

Appointments to the Board will be for a term not exceeding three years.
