Renée Young appointed Director at NDY

Congratulations to Renée Young on her appointment as Director at NDY, recognising her leadership, technical expertise, and contribution to the sector.

Renée has also been selected as a Women of Impact in Property for 2026 by Property Council New Zealand — a well-deserved recognition of her influence, impact, and commitment to advancing the industry.

Renée’s achievements continue to inspire the next generation of women in property, demonstrating the value of strong leadership and the importance of diverse voices shaping the future of the built environment. 

AVID Property Group appoint Development Manager

AVID Property Group has appointed Shant Keverian as Development Manager at Ara Hills in Ōrewa, strengthening its New Zealand delivery team. Shant brings a strong background in engineering and project delivery, and will play a key role in progressing Stage 4 and future stages of the development. Ara Hills remains AVID’s flagship New Zealand project, with the team continuing to focus on delivery, quality, and long-term community outcomes. 

Colliers promotions and appointments
Colum McKernan 

Colliers’ Retail Leasing team has expanded with the appointment of Colum McKernan as a new Broker.  

After seven years in the Real Estate Management Services team, Colum transitions into the role with a foundation in economics and extensive real estate management experience.

Jack Tuson 

After 10 years with Colliers, North Shore-based Broker, Jack Tuson, has been promoted to Director of Industrial.

McConnell Property appoint Development Consultant

Congratulations Scott McCulloch on his appointment as Development Consultant at McConnell Property Limited.

A long-standing member of the property industry, Scott is widely recognised as a city shaper whose work has contributed to the growth and development of communities across New Zealand. In his new role, Scott will support McConnell Property’s South Island projects, including Westbury, providing strategic oversight and development expertise.

Scott brings extensive experience across valuation, advisory, and development, having previously held senior roles with Ngāi Tahu Property. Throughout his career, he has built a strong reputation for leadership, collaboration, and delivering projects that create long-term value for communities.

Property Council New Zealand acknowledges Scott’s significant contribution to the industry and wishes him every success in this exciting new chapter with McConnell Property.

Meet the latest additions and promotions at Property Council

Property Council New Zealand is pleased to celebrate several recent promotions and new appointments across the team as the organisation continues to grow and strengthen its support for the property sector. 

Congratulations to Sandamali Ambepitiya on her promotion from Senior Advocacy Advisor to Advocacy Manager, Naomi Wilson who steps into the role of Marketing Manager from Digital Communications Advisor, and Bella Leddy who has been promoted from Advocacy Advisor to Senior Advocacy Advisor. 

We’re also excited to welcome new team members Samantha Yee, joining as Senior Advocacy Advisor, and Donna Peffers, who joins DevelopU as Training Support Manager, supporting our professional development courses and programmes.
