Honouring a legacy: Peter Marshall bids farewell after 40 years of passion, wisdom and impact

Warren and Mahoney is celebrating the extraordinary career of Peter Marshall as he bids farewell. 

Peter’s time with Warren and Mahoney has been marked by unwavering dedication, thoughtful leadership, and significant achievement. His life and career are so deeply interwoven with the practice that his contribution will continue to positively impact our work for years to come.

One of his earliest and most formative projects saw him working directly with Maurice Mahoney as project architect on the Christchurch Park Royal Hotel. When it opened in 1988, it was one of the largest design and construction projects ever undertaken in the city.

Since then, Peter has made a remarkable impact on our built environment, taking a leading role on projects including the Christchurch Blueprint, the Town Hall restoration, Te Pae Convention Centre, Memorial Bridge, and many others.

Bayleys pockets leading retail broker for its South Island business

Chris Ireland joins the firm as head of retail South Island, based in Bayleys’ Christchurch office, and is tasked with growing retail sales and leasing activity across the mainland’s key markets.

Ireland’s broad international retail sector experience and the established relationships he has with corporate retail brands and shopping centre developers/landlords will add tangible value to Bayleys’ retail team, expanding capability across the asset class according to William Wallace, Bayleys general manager South Island commercial and industrial.

Spaceworks Interior Architecture sets up roots in Queenstown

Spaceworks Interior Architecture announced that Lauren Gibbs, Interior Designer, will be building their South Island presence from the ground up. Since joining as an intern in 2018, Lauren’s confidently climbed the design ranks – earning trust, leading projects, and creatively excelling & shaping innovative ideas. 

Lauren envisions making a positive impact by valuing people above all else. She admires the company’s commitment to excellence and its leadership’s genuine care for both employees and clients.
