It has been a huge couple of weeks in Property Council HQ, with over 350 attendees joining us in Auckland for Retail Conference 2022 and a wonderful turnout for the much-anticipated Central Property People Awards last week.
I had the good fortune to be part of both events, and can vouch for the energy in the room and the overwhelming support shown for our speakers, award winners and industry as a whole.
The Wellington and Auckland Property People Awards are still to come this Thursday and Friday evening, and I am very much looking forward to reconnecting with more of our members in the regions. Special mention must be made of our Regional Managers, Sarah Rundstrom, Sandra Brown, Tasch Dodson and Aleisha Hogarth, for their enormous effort in bringing these events to life.
With my calendar filling up, it has been a pleasure to watch the team flourish in their respective areas of expertise. None more so than Head of Advocacy, Katherine Wilson, who represented Property Council at the resource management lock up on Tuesday, delivering an exceptional summary of the proposed legislation that was readily distributed to members and media by our superstar communications team.
Our advocacy team truly live and breathe these issues, so if you ever have any questions, please do get in touch.
It would be remiss of me not to also mention the achievement of Advocacy Advisor, Logan Rainey, who this week handed in his Masters dissertation. A huge milestone in anyone’s career, this achievement is made all the more impressive given he is also working for us in his ‘spare’ time. Please make sure you congratulate him next time you connect.
Enjoy this edition of Property Voice – we appreciate your support.
