Green leasing on the agenda at Reset24

Taking to the stage after a two-year hiatus, Reset24 is a one-day conference exploring ESG in property. We’ll look at how the property sector can embrace New Zealand’s commitment to halve our carbon emissions by 2030 and improve business sustainability.

Connecting property, people and the planet, Reset24 is a sustainability event, but it’s much broader than simply green buildings – it’s about embracing innovation in business so people, the planet and the property sector prosper, together.

One such session is the highly-anticipated Green Leasing Panel Discussion. Facilitated by Heath Brunton, a Partner at DLA Piper and featuring ANZ’s Kelly Bunyan and Cbus Property’s Marc Gillespie, this panel will delve into the future of green leasing and explore its transformative potential for the property sector.

We’ll be discussing:

  • Strategies for ensuring green leasing agreements are not merely symbolic gestures but instead result in tangible, measurable environmental benefits
  • The key components that should be included in green leasing agreements to enhance their robustness and accountability
  • How landlords and tenants can collaborate to establish clear benchmarks and performance metrics within green leasing agreements to track progress and ensure accountability
  • Successful examples where green leasing agreements have been effectively implemented to drive significant environmental improvements
  • The innovations and advancements that could further enhance the effectiveness and accountability of green leasing in promoting sustainable practices within commercial real estate.
