Advisory Group Meeting with Labour Caucus

Property Council held a roundtable session between our industry leaders and members of the Labour Party Caucus. Topics discussed included: the economy, depreciation, housing, transport, infrastructure, environment and the Resource Management Act.

We thank Rt Hon. Chris Hipkins, Hon. Carmel Sepuloni, Hon. Rachel Brooking, Tangi Utikere and Shanan Halbert from the Labour Party team for their attendance.

Meeting with PCA National Policy Director, Francesca Muskovic

The Property Council Australia and Property Council New Zealand team met to discuss the current challenges and opportunities we see within the property sector in New Zealand and Australia.

Site Tour at Te Reiputa

The Advocacy Team joined Liz Thomas from Simplicity Living to host Hon. Jenny Salesa and Arena Williams MP at Simplicity Living’s largest rental project in Mt Wellington.

With 297 apartments just a six-minute walk from the train station, Te Reiputa is a convenient location. The project will have a number of different buildings ranging from 3 to 11 storeys, will feature more bike parks than car parks, plus a rooftop solar farm and 8,000 sq meters of gardens. 

Meeting at Parliament with Simon Court, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Infrastructure and RMA Reform

Head of Advocacy Katherine Wilson, along with Alan McDonald (EMA), Michelle McCormick (INZ) and John Pask (Business New Zealand) went to Parliament to talk to MP Simon Court about all things RMA and Infrastructure. It’s important that organisations like ours have an aligned view on the future of our RMA system.
