**CANCELLATION**

In response to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, it is with much disappointment that we have made the decision to cancel this event.

As I’m sure you can appreciate, the health and wellbeing of our members and staff are paramount, and this is a decision that has not been made lightly.

The future of other Property Council events will be determined on a case-by-case basis, following advice from health authorities and the situation with COVID-19 at the time.

We want to thank you for your continued support and encourage you to take care of yourself and your families – we are all in this together.

The Property Council Emerging Leaders Programme kicked off in 2019 with ten mentoring pairs selected for a one-year partnership. Supported by training from the New Zealand Coaching and Mentoring Centre, participants were given all the tools they needed for a productive and valuable experience.

Sponsored by JLL, applications for the 2020 programme open on Thursday 19 March, so we’ve asked mentee Laura Conquer of Colliers International and mentor Jane Holland of Bell Gully to share their experience. Membership Manager Harry Wright will be on hand to answer questions and we’ll finish the evening with casual networking over a few beverages.

If you are considering applying for the 2020 intake, then grab your ticket and mark the date in your calendar! With 15 Mentor spaces and 15 Mentee spaces available in the 2020 programme this event is worth attending!

Laura Conquer - Mentee 
Colliers International

Laura re-joined Colliers in August 2017 as a Leasing Executive. She previously worked for the organisation as a Research Assistant while studying. Laura is now accountable for the leasing of client owned assets and is focused on WestCity Waitakere.

Prior to this, Laura was based in Melbourne and was an Assistant Development Manager after completing a Graduate Programme for Coles Supermarkets. Focused on the Victorian tranche of ~200 stores, she gained experience across a wide range of projects and transactions through the leasehold and freehold areas of the business. She then took on a strategic role for a private developer working across a variety of areas of the business.

While at University Laura also sold residential property and duty managed Sylvia Park Shopping Centre on weekends.

 

Jane Holland - Mentor 
Bell Gully

Jane's area of practice is commercial property and real estate with a particular focus on leasing and development projects. Her clients value her extensive knowledge of the industry and the market and her level of expertise. 

Jane is a recognised expert and applies her extensive knowledge to clients on the leasing, sale and purchase of commercial properties including design and build projects and sale and lease back transactions. Jane acts for key players in the New Zealand property market including major developers, retailers and forestry companies. She has a reputation for being commercially astute and highly proactive and efficient.

Jane has co-authored the New Zealand Property Council Retail Lease and authored the current edition of the New Zealand Property Council Office Lease. She has also authored a Green Lease Schedule on behalf of a number of major property owners in the property market, and a suite of seismic, insurance and re-instatement lease clauses. In demand as a speaker on property issues, Jane presents seminars on numerous topics, including green leasing for members of CoreNet Global, the world's leading professional association for corporate real estate and workplace executives. 

Jane is ranked as a leading lawyer for real estate and construction in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2020, described as a "one of the most experienced and respected property partners in New Zealand".
