Tauranga Library & Community Hub Site Tour
August 13 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
NZ$45.00

Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the first building under construction as part of Te Manawataki o Te Papa, the project set to transform Tauranga’s civic precinct.
This three-storey library and community hub is more than just a building — it’s a bold expression of Mātauranga Māori design principles and environmental leadership. Targeting a 6 Green Star rating, the development showcases innovative mass-timber hybrid structural systems, designed to significantly reduce carbon impact. Three different mass timber products will be used across the precinct, highlighting a cutting-edge, sustainable construction approach.
On this special visit, you’ll hear directly from the project team as they share their journey of collaboration, cultural integration, and technical excellence in bringing this visionary project to life in the heart of Tauranga CBD.
