Mentees: Ideal candidates are individuals looking to develop their professional skills within the property industry. A willingness to learn and share is key to gaining essential knowledge for success both professionally and personally. We typically look for mentees with between 3-8 years of experience.
Mentors: Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about supporting the professional and personal growth of mentees. They should be willing to share their industry expertise and experience while also enhancing their own leadership skills.
We strongly encourage past mentees to return as mentors, and previous mentors are always welcome to rejoin the programme.
This programme is part of Property Council’s exclusive membership benefits. To participate, both mentees and mentors must be employed by a Property Council New Zealand member organisation.
The mentee fee is $1,180.87 + GST, which covers the Training Day, 12 months of mentoring, three Exchange sessions and complimentary registration for a leadership course run by DevelopU. The programme does not cover travel to these events; however, the ELP Exchanges will be conducted online.
All mentees require endorsement by their member organisation, and the mentee fee will be billed to this organisation. As mentors are generously volunteering their time, no payment is required.
Applications for the programme open on 13 November 2026 and close on 15 February 2027.
