The Waikato is fast becoming New Zealand's best place to live, work and do business. Hamilton is in a unique position, leveraging off the economic drive of the ‘Golden Triangle’. Our region is a key North Island hub,  poised to respond positively to the planned transport connections to Auckland. 

The Waikato Executive advocates for a thriving commercial property industry that has a positive impact on the region and its people. With substantial population growth forecasted in the region over the next 30 years, a comprehensive sub-regional spatial plan that outlines where future development will occur is needed .We are calling for an integrated approach to planning that will provide investment certainty for the industry and ensure a diversified, modern economy that grows jobs and enables the property sector to thrive.

The Waikato Executive Committee volunteer their time to serve our members in the Waikato region. They make sure your voice is heard by both central and local government on issues that could have a profound effect on your business. 

 

Our Leaders

Brian Squair | Regional Chair

Brian is Board Chair and Director at Chow:Hill in Hamilton and has a wide range of practical design and construction industry expertise both in New Zealand and Australia. This experience allied with a client-centred approach feeds Brain's enthusiasim for innovative and smart ways to deliver successful projects. 

Brian has led the Waikato Executive since November 2017, helping raise the profile of the branch and consistently advocating for greater engagement with policy-makers.

 

Tina Boyd | Deputy Chair

Tina Boyd is Centre Manager for Chartwell Shopping Centre, under the umbrella of Stride Investment Management Limited (SIML). Tina has an extensive background in marketing and over 10 years’ experience in the property industry, in particular in retail property management.

She is actively involved in the local community as a Trustee of Dress for Success, and has previously been the Chair of Te Rau Aroha Papakainga Trust. As Centre Manager at Chartwell Tina is responsible for the overall management of the property. She has a post graduate diploma in management studies (PGDipMgtSt) from Waikato University, is a member of the Institute of Directors and was the recipient of the 2016 Waikato Institute of Directors Scholarship. She was also a New Zealand registered nurse.

 

Mike Neale | Deputy Chair

Mike is the Managing Director of NAI Harcourts Hamilton.
As well as leading the local team, Mike specialises in sales and leases in the CBD and CBD Fringe areas of Hamilton.

Central Regional Manager

Sarah is an experienced event manager with a strong background in hospitality, who delivers local events and supports the needs of the wider Central region, encompassing the Bay of Plenty and Waikato. Sarah ensures the region's advocacy projects and events align with our national priorities and acts as a conduit between local members and national office.
