Welcome to the Bay of Plenty Branch
Our region has huge potential for growth and we’re focused on supporting that by advocating for the funding and delivery of relevant infrastructure. Our members are our voice and it’s our job to make sure they’re heard by local and central government. Likewise, we take pride in ensuring our members are well informed on all issues that impact on the property sector and the Bay of Plenty economy.
We are working hard to make a difference and over the past 18 months we’ve worked on the following:
- Strongly advocating against the proposed Tauranga City Council commercial and residential rates differential.
- Promoting and enabling of high density central city living and medium density residential plan changes for Rotorua and Tauranga.
- Hosting several sold out events, including the Bay of Plenty Property People Awards, Marine Precinct Site Tour (Tauranga), The Changing Business Landscape (Rotorua), Corporate Golf Day (Tauranga) and Market Outlook (Tauranga).
We look forward to working together with business leaders and local authorities to continue to shape the region for years to come.
Our region has a bright future and we are committed to making our member's voices heard by the Bay's local authorities, ensuring local policies and regulations better serve the property industry and enable the Bay of Plenty economy.

The Branch Executive members also represent the local membership across a variety of working groups and panels, from meetings on Tauranga's SmartGrowth initiative, to the City Centre Action Group and other issue-specific advocacy groups.
