Auckland is facing immediate and future growth demands which are critical to its growth as New Zealand’s commercial hub. With the population set to increase dramatically over the next few decades, development needs to speed up and housing affordability must be addressed urgently. In order to do this, we need significant regulatory changes and an overhaul of our national legislation and local processes.
The development of Auckland Council’s Unitary Plan is a focal point for the Auckland Branch, as are the issues of local government funding for infrastructure, RMA changes and responding to the need for earthquake strengthening.
If you want to be a part of what we are doing, please get in touch. Strength in numbers creates positive change and ensures moving forward.
