Wellington | Upping the Ante: Better Buildings for Wellington

5:15pm Tuesday, 30 May 2017
7:30pm Tuesday, 30 May 2017
The Cable Room, Macs Brewbar
4 Taranaki Street
Wellington, Wellington 6011
New Zealand

A reminder of the volatility of New Zealand, hit with 3G force in November last year.

As a consequence, Wellington’s previous investment in resilience proved its worth and we escaped without loss of life. But it has once again put the spotlight on the safety and usability of our buildings.

Wellington has an opportunity to do better and to be perceived as a truly safe city to live, work and play and invest in.

Our presenters will provide a fresh insight into future opportunities. They will explore how the market is and could, respond to people’s increased awareness and resilience demands so that we can build and retrofit better buildings.

Delegates will receive viewpoints from a designer, property owner / manager, tenant representative and construction lawyer. What are the learnings that will minimise impact and enable our businesses, owners and tenants to get back to work at the safest and earliest possible moment? What aspects are we succeeding in? What could we do better?

Networking and hospitality will follow this event, courtesy of our sponsors.
