Heather Claycomb
Founder and Director | HMC Communications
Heather founded HMC communications in May 2004 driven by her passion to tell a great story and support Waikato businesses in making a difference.
In May, HMC Communications was named ‘PR Consultancy of the Year’ by the PR Institute of NZ.
Heather’s unique background in communications, marketing, sales and public relations across a broad range of industries has given her a strong foothold to
run HMC Communications. Her MBA education coupled with an expertise in corporate communications, allows Heather to bring a unique perspective to her
clients with the ability to approach communications issues from a strategic business perspective.
Prior to forming her own consultancy, she worked as a Senior Consultant with PR firm, Baldwin Boyle Group (BBG). Her role involved managing the Fonterra-Ingredients account and working with Mighty River Power's hydro-generation and geothermal divisions.
During 2001 and 2002, Heather was with Hamilton City Council working in the area of Economic Development. This position combined her skills of marketing, communications, and project management. Heather previously sat on the local Property Council board as the HCC representative for a period.
Heather is on the Boards of Habitat for Humanity Central North Island and The Good Collective and is a former Chair of the Hamilton Science Awards Trust (Kudos Awards).
Louise Feathers

Louise Feathers Planning was established by Louise Feathers in 2011 to provide boutique planning services. Years of local experience in resource consents, subdivision and land development projects in the Waikato has meant that Louise has developed strong relationships with Council staff,
an in-depth working knowledge of the local district plans and knowledge of local issues which assist in obtaining consent approvals quickly and
with practical conditions.
Louise Feathers Planning specialises in subdivision and land use planning across the North Island and has experience working on a number of large and small scale projects providing planning support and developing resource consent applications. While the company has a diverse project portfolio at any one time, Louise's interest is particularly in Central City regeneration, Urban Design and Heritage Planning.
