Designed by Sir Miles Warren and Maurice Mahoney and serving as a gathering place for performances, cultural events and meetings since 1972, the iconic Christchurch Town Hall will reopen to the public in 2019 following extensive restoration and refurbishment work.

With the building damaged and destabilised from the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes, the Town Hall, which is a significant part of Christchurch's urban fabric, has been undergoing restoration and strengthening work since June 2015.  This is a fabulous opportunity for Property Council South Island members to view the restoration and future-proofing of the auditorium, entrance foyer, James Hay Theatre, Limes Room and Boaters restaurant.

Following the site tour we invite you to join us for networking drinks and nibbles at Mama Hooch, 817 Colombo Street.

Spaces are strictly limited so make sure you book your place now!

Please Note: All attendees must be wearing closed in footwear (no high heels), high vis vests, hard hats and safety glasses (to be provided by the attendee).

Please access the site from The Commons, on the corner of Durham and Kilmore Streets, which is accessible from Durham Street or through Victoria Square.

To register online, please login to your Member Portal (on the top left of your screen) then click the "Register an Attendee" button below.

Logging in for the first time? If you are a member or regular attendee to Property Council events, a user account will have already been set up for you. Simply follow these steps:

  2. Click on the link Request new password.
  3. Enter your email address and click the button Email new password.
  4. An email will be sent to your nominated email address, click on the link in the email to verify your address.
  5. Enter your desired password and click login.
