Wellington’s new Children’s Hospital is under construction, spread across three floors it will contain 50 beds and 21 clinical rooms. Situated at the northern end of the Wellington campus, the Children’s Hospital will connect to the main hospital via a link bridge. Mark Dunajtschik is the Benefactor who has kick started the project with a generous $50m donation. Mr Dunajtschik is an experienced developer and is managing the development of the new hospital with his property partner Grant Corlesion. The project is also funded by Capital and Coast District Health Board supported by The Wellington Hospital Foundation (https://whf.org.nz/ ) who has committed to fundraising $6m for new hospital equipment.

McKee Fehl are working closely with both Mark Dunajtschik and Capital & Coast District Health Board, industry consultants and health care specialists to build a world-class facility that meets the utmost needs of children and their families in their toughest hours. This tour is the first in the series as the Hospital evolves over the next two years. 

This site tour is for members only and is limited to 40 people. Groups of ten will be accompanied by a McKee Fehl, Studio Design + Architecture, NZCEL and Aurecon staff for this 60-minute tour. Hard hats, safety shoes, PPE and high-vis vests are needed by anyone wishing to tour the site and please listen to your guide as you visit this active construction site.

  • You will note additional signage and hand sanitiser on site – we encourage all delegates to exercise good hand hygiene and cough etiquette.
