Get ahead of the game and hear the latest regional, domestic and international economic predictions and market analysis from two renowned industry leaders. This highly anticipated event will present the major economic and financial trends of 2018 and explore their impact on our industry.

Our first speaker is Westpac Senior Economist Satish Ranchhod, who has worked within Westpac’s economics team since 2014. His presentation will provide a national and global economic overview and insight into the coming six months in New Zealand.

Alan McMahon, National Director of Research and Consulting at Colliers will follow with a market analysis of Auckland’s current position. This will include assessment of the commercial market sectors of office, industrial and retail, and foresight into what we can expect in the short term future.

Satish Ranchhod

Senior Economist, Westpac

Satish joined Westpac’s Economics team as a Senior Economist in October 2014. His work focuses on inflation and developments in New Zealand’s household sector.

Prior to joining Westpac, he was an adviser at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. Much of his career has focused analysing and forecasting the New Zealand economy, with a particular focus on inflation.

Satish has also spent time as an economic researcher, leading the Reserve Bank’s analysis of the economic effects of the Canterbury earthquakes and its analysis of the global economy during the financial crisis.


Alan McMahon

National Director of Research and Consulting, Colliers

Alan has overall responsibility for Research and Consultancy for Colliers International in New Zealand, where he advises a wide range of public and private sector organisations.

He is a frequent media commentator on the New Zealand property market, and oversees the production of over 30 research reports every year.
