Nick Owen
Senior Development Manager, Willis Bond
Nick is a Senior Development Manager at Willis Bond. He leads a number of large residential and commercial projects, is a member of the leadership team and chair of the Willis Bond design review group.
He has recently returned to Wellington having spent over a decade in Sydney. He holds a B.Arch(Hons) and is a NSW Registered Architect (2010). He spent his early career at HASSELL predominantly in competition and bid phase work in all sectors and more recently at ASX-listed Mirvac in capital transactions. He has experience in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with specialist experience in the delivery of large mixed-use development procured as part of the Sydney and Melbourne Metro projects over the last 10 years, including Central Barangaroo (Sydney), Waterloo Metro Quarter Development (Sydney) and Harbourside (Sydney).
Nick has a passion for quality design and delivering exceptional experiences and places that shape people’s lives every day, and looks to instil this through the work of Willis Bond.
Anna Calver
Manager CCO and Economic Wellbeing, WCC
Anna Calver is a creative leader, strategist, brand builder and unofficial chief Wellington cheerleader. As the manager of Economic Wellbeing & CCOs for Wellington City Council, she is now lucky enough to work with her favourite brand in the world – Wellington. 
Her team works with businesses, the Tākina Convention & Exhibition Centre and Wellington’s Council Controlled Organisations (such as Wellington Zoo, Zealandia Eco-Sanctuary and Sky Stadium) to enhance the city’s economy and ensure it’s a place where both people and nature thrive. 
Prior to her current role, she worked in FMCG, technology, tourism and the arts, working with local and international brands such as Google, Diageo Great Britain (makers of Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff and Guinness), L’Oreal, Penfolds wine, Cadbury, ANZ Bank, Wellington On a Plate, the NZ Music Awards, and the Aotearoa Festival of the Arts. 
Gavin Read
Head of Research, JLL
Gavin Read is Head of Research for JLL NZ, based in Auckland. Focusing on the commercial property markets across New Zealand, he is responsible for presenting market insights to institutional and private clients, authoring thought leadership papers and providing data analysis for the wider JLL business and clients.
