Take a one-hour tour of Wellington’s Mary Potter Hospice apartment complex, one of the first of its kind and scale to embrace prefabrication. Designed by Archaus Architecture and constructed by McKee Fehl, the development will see 39 modern residential units built within the grounds of the Hospice’s Newtown precinct, with construction expected to take 18 months.
Presently under construction, the Hospice will provide services that support the physical, social, spiritual, and emotional needs of patients and their families or whānau. Situated adjacent to the Hospice building in Mein Street, Newtown, the Mary Potter apartments will support the organisation’s social and entrepreneurial vision by generating long-term revenue streams for the local charity.
This site tour is for members only and is limited to 30 people. Tour groups of ten will be accompanied by McKee Fehl staff, who will talk through the aspects and attributes of the project as we move around the property.
Hard hats, covered safety shoes, PPE, and high-vis vests are required by all attendees, with a health and safety briefing mandatory prior to entry. Social distancing will be in place, in line with current government guidelines.
