June 24 @ 3:15 pm - 6:00 pm

Though largely unrecognised, women have always had a role in the property sector. Such is the case for Women in Property co-founders Wendy Clarke and Leonie Freeman, who were part of a small group of women who pioneered the ‘Women in Property’ initiative 20 years ago.

Join us to celebrate the achievements made over the last 20 years, as well as enjoying an excellent film, at this private member-only showing that forms part of the Resene Architecture and Design Film Festival.

This year’s Resene Architecture and Design Film Festival line-up offers an inspiring array of films from architects and designers who have left a legacy of work. The feature film for the evening is City Dreamers, a film about our changing urban environment that focuses on four trailblazing female architects who have been working, observing, and thinking about the transformations shaping the cities of today and tomorrow for over 70 years.

Members are invited to bring along work colleagues and clients for a social evening as we celebrate just how far we’ve come and how far we aspire to go as industry leaders that champion property.

Register today for this evening of celebration!

About Women in Property
Wendy Clarke
Foundation Chair, Women in Property

After 10 years in property marketing with Colliers International and a commercial interiors firm, Wendy knew there were many incredible women in the industry, but that the common perception was otherwise. She started Women in Property to give women an opportunity to meet each other, share ideas and develop the confidence to participate more actively in the industry.  Starting with a breakfast meeting where the positive response was resounding, Women in Property was born.

After the first few years, Wendy formed a committee to help with running the events until a partnership was formed with the Property Council.  From there Women in Property has enjoyed continued success year after year.

Having a passion for property, Wendy moved to Christchurch in 2013 when the city was in massive rebuild mode. With labour shortage being the critical factor, she turned her marketing expertise toward recruitment and is now a senior recruiter with Farrow Jamieson.
