A not-for-profit organisation representing New Zealand's Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Property Funds and Multi Unit Residential property owners, managers and investors, Property Council covers all forms of commercial property and property investment in New Zealand.
Property Council New Zealand began life in 1976 as the Building Owners and Managers Association, (BOMA), helping to forge a new industry with a clear identity, purpose and increasing political influence. In April 1999, BOMA was re-launched as Property Council New Zealand and it now has a wider focus and a higher political profile, providing more benefits to members.
Branch Executive Committees govern our branch offices in Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Wellington and the South Island, while national committees focus on strategic issues including taxation, planning and development controls, research and information, corporate real estate and retail issues.
We encourage property investment in New Zealand and provide advocacy, research, seminars and networking opportunities. To help create a vibrant commercial property market, we provide timely and impartial research information to assist investment decisions and hold superb events and seminars which provide information and networking opportunities.
Property Council is the only New Zealand property association actively involved with central, local and other government associated bodies. Our strength is in our numbers to lobby. With over $24 billion invested in the New Zealand commercial property scene, Property Council there to be heard.
