    Join us for the site tour of the year as we get a sneak-peek into Stage One of the $85 million King Edward Barracks development.

    With two office buildings and a multi-storey car park, the masterplanned development will create a new benchmark for post-earthquake commercial buildings having adopted the latest earthquake technology and quality design.

    The West End car park is over 20,000m² with 680 car parking spaces and 198 secure bike parks and includes a green wall, ground floor retail and space to charge electric cars. It will also house the equipment for the first District Energy Scheme plantroom which will use aquifer water to heat and cool the KEB buildings before reinjection of the water back into the aquifer.

    The tour will be followed by Q&A with the developer and key stakeholders over refreshments served in the Christchurch City Council function room.

He is the driving force behind the introduction of MTC in the Australian market with projects like Forte, the world’s largest apartment building of its kind and is also well known for his work promoting innovation, technology and operational excellence in the Australian property market and is a regular contributor in the UK & US on the property construction speaking circuit.  

    Daryl’s presentation will explain why Lendlease chooses to use MTC regularly in their development, explaining the benefits for their business.
